When people ask me where I'm from, I say "the Bay Area", even though I haven't lived there in over a decade. It's still home. I was just dumb enough to pick two careers that can only be done consistently and for decent money here in Southern California. I am a bleeding-heart liberal, so don't expect any warm fuzzies for George "Wombat" Bush.

She's doing better. She had a clot break free and 100% block one of her semi-blocked arteries, which, along with a slipped stent, caused a second heart attack this weekend. But they solved all that, added a couple more stents, and adjusted her meds. We're being assured that, this time, she's safe and sound. And no major damage from the second heart attack, as far as they can tell us.
Phewwwww!
